Lovelines (demo)

I wrote this wee thing on an afternoon with Grammy Award winning writer and musician Gordie Sampson, at his beautiful Lakewind studio on Cape Breton Island. One of my husband Mattie's oldest friends, Gordie is now based in Nashville and is in big demand for penning country-pop hits. The hit factory isn't my scene at all, of course, but I grew up listening to country classics by folks like Tammy Wynette, Bobby Gentry and Hank Williams and the twang has definitely seeped in! And if you speed it up I wind up sounding like a passable impersonation of Dolly Parton!
